If you’ve followed any of my previous blogs you might have noticed I make split decisions then discuss the decisions later. Sometimes that philosophy worked but most of the time it didn’t. I’ve since switched things up…
When I was shot in the back of the head in 2006 the Docs told me my vision would never recover. In fact, I lost almost all peripheral vision completely. Within a year my peripheral vision returned but I still had problems: I couldn’t see further than maybe 5ft away. Docs continued to tell me my vision could be improved but the chance of me getting 20/20 back wasn’t likely.
Last year I started my search for a leading LASIK provider who was not only the best at what they did but affordable. That’s when I ran into Spivack Vision Center.
Spivack Vision Center started me off with a free consultation which would determine if I was a candidate for LASIK. During this process I had the opportunity to sit down and talk to Dr. Spivack who assured me my vision was correctable to 20/20. That was music to my ears should it be true.
Last week I went under the ‘Laser’ with Dr. Wang (pic above). I was a bit nervous (who wouldn’t be?). Dr. Wang did a fantastic job at explaining everything and by everything I mean everything that happened throughout the entire procedure. The rest of the staff also did an exceptional job easing my nerves and I quickly found that I was nervous about nothing.
The LASIK procedure was quick, painless and and overall great experience. The only thing I regret about my visit to Spivack was that I didn’t do it sooner.
The following day I had my post-op visit and learned that not only did Spivack and their team get me to 20/20 – they beat it. Yep correctable to 20/15.
A special thanks to the SPIVACK staff. Being able to see is like being reborn and they couldn’t have made the process easier.
