Christopher’s Dodge World Vs. PRO Jeep/Dodge Denver, CO

If you’re in the market for a Dodge and you’ve visited Christopher’s Dodge World in Golden, Colorado you might want to read this full-review as it could save you thousands – literally.

You might have heard about my diabolical with Grand GMC… I won’t rewrite the entire story but I can tell you that I wasn’t thrilled with my purchase and was second guessing my decision months later…

I decided to pop into a few Dodge dealers to see what kind of a deal they could get me with my current trade-in, a 2011 GMC Sierra 2500HD.

My first stop was Christopher’s Dodge World. During my first visit, I didn’t have the truck, but I did have the VIN. I had indicated that I wanted to have as close to a straight across trade as I could and I was re-assured that we’d be close and PRO Dodge wouldn’t be able to beat their price, and lets not even talk about Brandon Dodge on Broadway – I couldn’t even get them to return my inq.

PRO Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge Ram is close to my business so once I picked up the truck, they were my first stop. The staff was extremely nice, helpful and quick to answer any questions that I had. Unlike a lot of dealers I didn’t feel awkward or pressured at all. PRO had 1 truck in stock that fit what I was looking for and an offer that wasn’t far off of what I was looking for, but I wanted to give Christopher’s Dodge World a shot since they said they didn’t want to loose a deal to PRO.

I jumped back in my truck and drove another 20 mins to Christopher’s Dodge World. After about 20+ mins of waiting around I was told by the sales manager that my truck was very basic and basically something they didn’t want on their lot. They mentioned with the trade they probably couldn’t even get close to a $7,000 difference in price.

I told them I had already got an offer from PRO that was less than $2,000 difference in price with my trade-in. They called my bluff and said something like “That’s a steal, you’d better run fast back to PRO,” and that’s exactly what I did.

20 mins or so later, I made it back to PRO. While in transit I and PRO agreed to the trade + $1,800 – out the door and the deal was agreed upon, yet I was still skeptical being that Christopher’s Dodge World couldn’t even come within a mile of that price…

Typically when you’re closing the deal with the dealership they claim they forgot to ad a charge or two, at PRO – my experience was the exact opposite. I was expecting to pay $1,800 and as the paperwork arrived the commercial sales manager mentioned he had another rebate he could apply for $500 leaving my out-of-pocket expenses at only $1,300!!!

Don’t believe me – here’s a picture of the new truck! :)

Dodge Ram 3500

Goodbye lame GMC, hello awesome Dodge Ram!

For only $1,300I got a brand new, and by far a more superior vehicle, a 2012 Dodge Ram (high output diesel) 3500 Dually, Quad Cab – just about fully loaded.

As you can imagine, I’m stoked. If you’re looking for the best deal on a Dodge, Jeep or Chrysler then give PRO a shot, if you’re like me – you’ll save THOUSANDS.

I’m a fan of integrity and telling those about good businesses, this is one of those times.  PROJeep.com!!!

Spivack Vision Center = Awesome.

spivack

If you’ve followed any of my previous blogs you might have noticed I make split decisions then discuss the decisions later. Sometimes that philosophy worked but most of the time it didn’t. I’ve since switched things up…

When I was shot in the back of the head in 2006 the Docs told me my vision would never recover. In fact, I lost almost all peripheral vision completely. Within a year my peripheral vision returned but I still had problems: I couldn’t see further than maybe 5ft away. Docs continued to tell me my vision could be improved but the chance of me getting 20/20 back wasn’t likely.

Last year I started my search for a leading LASIK provider who was not only the best at what they did but affordable. That’s when I ran into Spivack Vision Center.

Spivack Vision Center started me off with a free consultation which would determine if I was a candidate for LASIK. During this process I had the opportunity to sit down  and talk to Dr. Spivack who assured me my vision was correctable to 20/20. That was music to my ears should it be true.

Last week I went under the ‘Laser’ with Dr. Wang (pic above). I was a bit nervous (who wouldn’t be?). Dr. Wang did a fantastic job at explaining everything and by everything I mean everything that happened throughout the entire procedure. The rest of the staff also did an exceptional job easing my nerves and I quickly found that I was nervous about nothing.

The LASIK procedure was quick, painless and and overall great experience. The only thing I regret about my visit to Spivack was that I didn’t do it sooner.

The following day I had my post-op visit and learned that not only did Spivack and their team get me to 20/20 – they beat it. Yep correctable to 20/15.

A special thanks to the SPIVACK staff. Being able to see is like being reborn and they couldn’t have made the process easier.
