Supervisor Compliance Training is Misleading

Today a friend of mine who is in the transportation industry, handed me a letter that resembled a a division of the Ftraining-department/”>Supervisor Compliance Training Department.

Three letters were sent.

  • Notice of Compliance – Supervisor Training
  • Notice of Compliance – Supervisor Training
  • Final Notice of Compliance

The “Final Notice” letter is where things get really ‘scammy.’ The final notice reads:

March 26, 2012

RE: MANDATORY D.O.T TRAINING
ATTENTION: OWNER & COMPANY NAME

THIS IS YOUR FINAL NOTICE. We have sent 2 other notices already. Please read carefully.

In a recent survey it was discovered that many driver supervisors are non-compliant due to delinquent training requirements. It is mandatory that anyone who supervises drivers complete this Drug & Alcohol Awareness Training.

SECTION 49 CFR Part 382.603 of the FMCSA Regulations states:

Each employer shall ensure that ALL PERSONS DESIGNATED TO SUPERVISE DRIVERS receive at least 60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and receive at least an additional 60 minutes of training on controlled substance abuse use.

Do not risk FAILING A D.O.T . AUDIT because of non-compliance. Please make sure that all supervisors who have not had this training register for the following training course:

WHAT: Mandatory 2-Hour Drug & Alcohol Awarness Training
WHERE: Online Training (log-in from any computer)
WHEN: Register Now (stop and start the training as you need to)
COST: $99 (we have been authorized to increase prices to $149, so register as soon as possible)

Register at www.supervisorcompliance.org

A Certificate of Completion will be issued following the completion of the course and updated in the compliance database.

Sincerely,

Supervisor Compliance Training Department
1201 N. Orange St. Suite 7138
Wilmington, DE 19801

This particular letter has “FINAL COMPLIANCE NOTICE” on the top followed by a logo that closely resembles that of some type of Federal Authority. BTW final notice for what? No longer soliciting the shipping companies?

Supervisor Compliance Training is severally misleading. Yes, the Department of Transportation does require on-going training and education but you do not need to do it with this company.

Here’s what the Better Business Bureau has to say about them.

FRead BBB Review here

“We further recommend that you notify Supervisor Compliance Training Department that this is an unwarranted solicitation and ask that they remove your address from their mailing list. If they fail to do so, you may then contact the Attorney General of Missouri with your complaint against them.”
